I am sweets lover. This is one of my favorite recipes because not only I love eating brownies, but also this recipe make it healthier to do so. The garbanzo beans help with constipation so it is a double bonus eating these brownies! My kids love it too, and I feel good when I know I am feeding them with healthy food and that they enjoy it. This recipe is rich in protein, iron, and fiber.

Notes
- Garbanzo beans are also know as chickpea
- I cook the garbanzo beans following the package directions. I use some of the beans for the brownies and the rest for hummus and salads. If you don't want to boil your own beans, then you can use canned chickpeas. Just make sure you drain the water out from the can.
- ¼ cup coconut oil melted (in liquid form)
- I try to use unsweetened organic cocoa powder when possible.
- I use gluten free baking powder
- I use avocado oil for cooking spray
