
Bulgur is a healthy whole grain that is rich in dietary fiber, low in fat, and low calorie making it a great food choice for people who want to lose weight and/or want to include healthy foods in their diets. Bulgur is high in minerals such as magnesium, iron and manganese. Most importantly, Bulgur wheat is rich in protein and is a complete protein food providing all nine essential amino acids.
Bulgur makes a healthy and quick addition to meals for people who do not follow a gluten free diet as bulgur wheat is made from 100% wheat.

Bulgur - how to cook

Ingredients
- ½ cup bulgur
- 1 cup stock
Instructions
- Wash your hands with soap and water. Check our article on more details on how to properly wash your hands.
- Gather all ingredients.
- In a medium pot, bring 1 cup of stock (or water) to a boil.
- Rinse the bulgur (optional)
- Once the stock (water) is boiling, add the ½ cup of bulgur
- Cover the pot, and reduce the heat to low
- Simmer the bulgur for about 15 minutes, until tender
- Once ready, fluff with a fork and season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Enjoy!

- You can use any kind of stock
- If you don't have stock, you can use water instead
- I make my own stock, by boiling chicken, vegetables, etc.
