Stove-top
You can also use the stove to cook this meal. Just make sure the split peas and the vegetables are soft prior to serving. It takes about 1 hour to cook on the stove-top. Also, stir frequently to prevent the food sticking and burning to the bottom of the pot.Slow Cooker
We recommend using a slow cooker to cook the green split peas with ham recipe. It is easier to cook the meal, tastier and requires less active time. Another benefit of using the slow cooker is that it only takes 5 min to prepare the ingredients and then I can decide when to cook it. Especially on weekends, I can turn the crockpot on and go do errands, and then come back to a ready delicious meal for dinner. I can also tell my husband – just pour the liquid from the refrigerator into the slow cooker and turn it on. Surprisingly, he manages to follow the directions without issues!Save Time And Buy Recipe Ingredients Online
